Welcome to
Belize
March 25th - April 1st, 2024
7 nights

Welcome to your jungle and beach sanctuary,
where ancient mysteries linger...
Belize!
It has so much more to offer than scuba diving, and yet, most people who come to Belize head straight underwater with tank in tow, resurfacing only for the occasional conch fritter or seaweed shake. They experience little else of what this tiny, English-speaking country of 330,000 has to offer.
Of course, you can’t blame these folks. The country’s crystalline Caribbean waters are home to the northern hemisphere’s largest barrier reef system and to the enormous kaleidoscope of fish, sponges, crustaceans, and plants that inhabit it.
Look beyond Belize’s reef and sun-bleached isles, though, and you’ll find a country with much more than just ocean-based adventure. Delve into the Maya world on the shores of the Caribbean. Enjoy ancient ruins, underground caves, beautiful tropical landscapes, unique cultural interactions and a host of unforgettable moments. Explore the legacy of the Maya civilization by visiting one or many of the Mayan ruins that are spread throughout the country.
Savor the flavors of a small country that is being enjoyed by a diverse population that has British, Mayan, Garifuna, and Mennonite influences. It's truly a testament to diversity.
Throughout your travels in Belize, we’ll be right there with you, making sure your journey is authentic, innovative, and utterly unforgettable.

Accommodations

Pine Ridge Forest
Blancaneaux Lodge
DAYS 1 - 3
In the early 1980s, Francis Ford Coppola visited Belize, immediately fell in love with the location, and purchased the abandoned Blancaneaux Lodge. For more than a decade the hideaway was used as a family retreat before Francis opened his tropical paradise to the public in 1993.
Blancaneaux Lodge is a 20-room luxury hideaway where waterfalls tumble into turquoise pools above the jungle canopy. Its remote mountain setting allows guests to explore the ancient civilization of the Maya and to return to their own thatched roof dwelling, rich with Guatemalan décor and nestled in the foliage of the Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve.

The clear, turquoise-blue waters revealed a kaleidoscope of fish, crustaceans, and plants that inhabited what Joe had recently learned to be the largest barrier reef system in the northern hemisphere. And it wasn’t even the opportunity of world-class scuba diving that had drawn the businessman to Belize; in fact, he had never considered himself much of a beachgoer. It was land-based activities and sites such as cave tubing, jungle trekking, and explorations of ancient Mayan archaeological ruins that had convinced him to finally travel to Central America. Of course, underwater meet-ups with schools of colorful reef fish would become one of the unexpected highlights of his trip.
Regions/Islands
SAN IGNACIO & PINE RIDGE FOREST
Located in the western section of the country and bordering Guatemala’s department of El Petén, the Cayo District is a vast highland stretch of rainforests, cattle ranches, pine lands, and some of the country’s most rugged, remote terrain. It’s a region you head to not for beaches (there are none), but for Mayan ruins, extensive cave systems, and the chance to explore the great outdoors on foot, by horse, or via kayak, canoe, or raft. It is here that you find the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest with its slightly cooler than the lowlands temperatures. Enter an land of mysticism and adventure. A land where caves and nature intermingle with the ancient cultures and their pyramids.
